Buffets and carpet picnics ROCK on this home and these mini baguette feasts are favourites with my husband and I and our children too.

Excellent for events too, these bites are simple to make and completely scrumptious. So easy to rustle up they’re merely crispy French stick slices topped with garlic fried mushrooms or squeaky Cypriot Cheese, hallumi, sliced radishes, balsamic glaze and coriander.

I’ve to share my Dad joke with you now:

What did the hallumi say to itself within the mirror? ‘Hallu-mi’. Haha!

Anyway, on wards! Fast to organize and super-tasty morsels, I do know you guys will merely love gobbling these beauties up!

Components:

Mushrooms on toast- (excellent for me as I’m plant-based and my youngest is dairy-free)

Serves 4

• 1 French Baguettes/any bread of your selection
• 2 tbsp delicate olive oil
• 350g closed cup mushrooms, sliced
• 2 garlic cloves, finely sliced
• knob of salted butter
• freshly floor pepper and sea salt.

Slice the baguette and brush with olive oil. Put aside.

In a big frying pan, drizzle with olive oil and fry the garlic till golden then take away. Add the mushrooms and fry till golden and crispy.

In the meantime, place the baguette into the oven and grill for quarter-hour by which era your mushrooms can be completely crisp.

Add a knob of butter to the mushrooms, place onto the toast, season with salt and pepper and luxuriate in.

Hallumi, radish and coriander treats-husband and eldest son’s fave!

Serves 4

• 1 baguette
• 1 block of hallumi, sliced
• 1 tbsp delicate olive oil
• 4 radishes, sliced
• 1 knob of butter
• handful of chopped coriander
• Drizzle of balsamic glaze
• freshly floor pepper and sea salt

Slice the baguette and brush with olive oil. Grill within the oven for quarter-hour.

In a big griddle frying pan, add oil and fry the hallumi till golden.

Butter the baguette slices, add the hallumi, radishes, drizzle with balsamic glaze, add coriander and season.
