Loukoumades (Greek donuts) Recipe

Loukoumades (Greek donuts) are a household favorite and all the time transport me again to festivals I visited as a baby in Cyprus, while on trip.

  • 2 tablespoons mild olive oil
  • oil for frying
  • Garnish

  • 1 cup honey (we like Manuka)
  • 14 cup water
  • cinammon cloves
  • floor cinammon
  • icing sugar for dusting

Methodology:

Dissolve the yeast within the lukewarm water. Add it to a big bowl with the milk, flour, sugar, salt and oil, stirring it right into a batter.

Cowl the bowl with a tea towel and let it relaxation for a few hours or in a single day as I prefer to.
